As most of you know, Scooter Drag Racing is on the cards for eventual National status. For now though, the class needs to be tested and needs to be at a level that can be taken to Tarlton, and an impretion needs to be made, a good one.
Scooter drag racing is run on an 1/8th mile strip (200m). Times and exit speeds are unknown at this point, so there is no benchmark.
What I propose is a 'get together' at The Rock Raceway at the end of this month, the 28th, its a Sunday, late afternoon, early evening. The Rock's strip is 200m, with starting lights and 'win lights'. Timing is not available on the 'street to strip' events. But I am sure that timekeepers could be arranged for us for the evening (manual method), just for reference.
It doesn't matter what level of performance your scoot has. I will be running my PGO drag scoot with my 150 GY6 road motor for the evening. 2T or 4T, 110 or 650, it doesn't matter, this is not a win or lose thing, it's a 'lets have some fun' evening, test, chat and have some fun. Whether your scoot is stock standard, or modded to hills, this will be a fun evening.
Entrance fee is R30per person, R50 if you race. The more guys that can be there, the better.
So who's in? Any other questions welcome.
